Home Performance with EnergyStar for PEPCO Customers

Customers of PEPCO are eligible for a number of energy efficiency programs and rebates, all featured on the PEPCO Home Energy Savings Program website. Programs include rebates for increasing the energy efficiency of heating and cooling equipment, refrigerators and freezers, and lighting and appliances.

One of the programs is called Home Performance with Energy Star. When homeowners of single family homes or townhomes hire a certified contractor, like Elysian Energy, to perform a home energy audit done through this program, they can receive large rebates on the work that follows. The audit costs only $100 to the homeowner - the remainder is paid for by PEPCO. All PEPCO customers with central air conditioning and/or electric heating are eligible for the programs. Extra charges may apply to homes larger than 3,000 square feet.
