Audit ServicesHome Energy Audit If you live in city boundaries of Washington, D.C., click here for special rates. What to expect during an audit: Short introduction and conuslt (discussion of specific issues the homeowner wants addressed)
Measurements (depending on the size, could take 30 minutes to an hour) Blower door test - A test that measures how much conditioned air is being lost to the outdoors. Doors and windows should be closed and the homeowner can walk around with the auditor while they ID and mark air leakage points Inspection of insulation, HVAC and water heating equipment A Home Energy Report Card™ sent to homeowner within 10 days of the audit being performed (detailed repot with results of home's efficiency including a cost benefit analysis of work that could be done) Depending on the program, audits could also include: Combustion Analysis Infrared scans Duct Tightness Inspection Contact us for an estimate as our services are talored to your specific needs and the size of your home. Project Management and ConsultingProject Management
Our focus at Elysian Energy is to provide you with the best information possible on the energy use of your whole home, not just one aspect. For us that starts with the audit. For homeowners looking for more than just information who would like assistance with making changes to your home, Elysian Energy will help with project management. Our staff our trained to manage and implement a number of energy efficiency improvements, including air sealing, insulation, HVAC sizing and replacement, and onsite renewable energy. Elysian Energy is also able to meet special needs for homeowners interested in having a third party opinion for renovations, energy efficiency, and renewable energy considerations. The hourly rate for consulting services is $125.
Green Building CertificationElysian Energy is trained and certified to guide homeowners looking to gain a green building certification, such as EnergyStar, LEED for Homes, NAHB-Green, and Passivhaus, on their new home.
